Dr Yasmin Khan has diversely distinguished career in Occupational and Aviation Medicine. She began her career as a Resident Medical Officer at the Canberra Hospital. In 2004, she became a medical Registrar in General Medicine for the South Western Sydney Area Health Service.
Dr Khan is an accredited Injury Management Consultant. She has held key medical officer roles with WorkCare Medical, Sydney Private Hospital, Holroyd Private Hospital, Medibank Health Solutions, QANTAS, Sonic Health Care, and as medical support panel specialist Occupational Physician for iCare.
She holds active current memberships of The Australian Medical Association, The Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, Australasian Society of Aerospace Medicine, The Australian Medical Review Officers Association and the Medical Review Officers Group.
Dr Yasmin has a particular interest in Injury Management, Aviation Medicine, Confined Space Medicine and Health Surveillance. These interests are reflected in her educational pursuits, including a Master’s degree in Occupational Medicine from UNSW, a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Western Sydney and her three Bachelor’s degrees in Surgery, Medicine and Science.
Some of Dr Khan’s other specialised interests include Aviation Medicine, Clinical Occupational Medicine, Clinical Emergency Management, Skin Cancer Medicine and Hypnotherapy.
